Time to get your pride on, people! 🏳️🌈 As the WeHo Pride Parade gears up for its grandiose return to the streets of West Hollywood this Sunday, there’s more than just glitter and glamour to consider. While the city prepares to get its groove on, a maze of road closures is also being set up, playing a real-life game of Pacman with anyone planning to use Santa Monica Blvd. and its tributaries.
But hey, let’s focus on the fun stuff first. Starting at high noon 🕛 on June 4, the parade will transform Santa Monica Blvd into a runway of rainbow. Marching from Crescent Heights to San Vicente, the parade promises to be a spectacle of love, unity, and undeniable fabulousness. Yet, with all the glittery festivities, it’s also going to be a day of are we there yet? 🚗💨
So, which roads are taking the hit? Hang on to your feather boas, because the list is longer than a Sunday morning brunch queue at Roscoe’s. First off, San Vicente Boulevard will be playing hard to get from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard from Thursday to Monday. Following suit, Santa Monica Boulevard eastbound and westbound lanes, Robertson Boulevard, and a section of Santa Monica Boulevard from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive will be closed during various periods from Friday to Monday.
