If you didn’t know, Francis’ previous trip to Fatima in 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of one of the Catholic Church’s most cryptic events of the 20th century: the visions of the Virgin Mary reported by three shepherd children and the “secrets” she told them. 😮💬👼

With war currently painting a grim picture in Ukraine, this trip seems a bit déjà vu. The original visions were reported during the chaos of World War I. Coincidence? Or is there a deeper connection? Food for thought. 🍎🧠💥

An independent report released earlier this year revealed that over 4,800 people may have been victims of clergy sexual abuse since 1950.
