Deep in the underbelly of an Escondido parking lot, a crime was being committed…by rats. A staggering 78 of them, to be precise. With their little rat luggage in tow, they had taken up residence in an abandoned van – or as we like to call it, the Rat BNB. 😆
Around midnight, June 1, Escondido Police received reports of suspicious activity surrounding a van, evidently expired on its registration tags. Little did they know that it wasn’t just any old van. This vehicle was busting at the seams, teeming with a rodent infestation of biblical proportions! The dashboard was their penthouse, the seats their lounges, and the floor liners their burrows.
One can only imagine the scene that greeted the police officers as they approached this rodent-dominated realm. Among the filth, even terrariums were discovered – tiny rat-sized condos, maybe? 🏠🐀
Once the van was towed, the rat eviction process began. Our heroes from the San Diego Humane Society, donned in their protective gear, started the daring operation to safely relocate the critters.
