Shawn Taulbee, 54, living the local life in Theodore, Alabama, must’ve skipped the chapter in the dog owner’s handbook titled “Fleas: They’re Annoying but Don’t Drown Your Dog Over It”. Apparently, his golden Lab was dealing with a flea situation, and Taulbee figured the best way to handle it was, bizarrely, a three-minute dunk in the deep end. 🐕🦺💧🤦♂️

Two Samaritans who were privy to the horror said they gave Taulbee a piece of their mind before dialing 911. Responding to the call, Dauphin Island Police Department (DIPD) officers arrived at the scene near the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, arresting Taulbee.🚓
Now here’s where it gets real. Mr. Taulbee got hit with first-degree cruelty to a dog, a felony charge. Justice served? Well, he’s not behind bars. Taulbee made bail and was out of the big house by Monday evening. So, how do we define animal justice these days? 🤷♀️
